Daughter of Tiny Harris and stepdaughter of rapper T.I., Zonnique Pullins has something interesting to say about her gun arrest drama.
The upcoming singer claims it was all a big misunderstanding. The reality star says she simply forgot she had the weapon in her purse as she went through security at the Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport .
She told the People magazine
“I know that’s really irresponsible on my part, but it was really just an honest mistake. I was at home, rushing to get to the airport, and I was throwing everything in my purse. The gun is really, really small. It looks like a toy gun. It was just at the bottom of my purse. When I went through security check, I was like, ‘Oh, I forgot it was in there.’”
Zonnique, just 20, said she took out the .380 Ruger semi-automatic out of her purse following the moment it had shown up on the x-ray machine. She also explained why she carried around the gun.
“I feel like I definitely have to stay safe — especially with me going around so much by myself,”she said, in relation to the shooting of The Voice contestant Christina Grimmie. “I’m not usually with anybody or security or anything.”
Tiny, her mom, purchased the gun legally.
Zonnique explained that she might be forced by the court to go on probation and to take a course in gun safety if the case ever makes it to the court.
