Photos of Leona Lewis in costume as Grizabella in a new production of Cats were released ahead of the show's opening in New York on 31 July. The singer said: "I am beyond thrilled for my Broadway debut to be in such an iconic show."
Director Steven Spielberg
received a gold Blue Peter badge this week from presenter Lindsey
Russell. It's the highest honour given by the CBBC children's TV show.
Blue Peter only gives a few out each year and says he earned it with his
talent, passion and pioneering work. Spielberg said he's "always
secretly wanted" one.

Michelle Obama appeared on
Carpool Karaoke - a feature on James Corden's popular Late Late Show on
the US network CBS. The pair sang songs by Stevie Wonder, Beyonce and
Missy Elliott - who joined them briefly in the car.

Dwarf were photographed together as an 11th series of the sci-fi comedy

Californian street artist
Plastic Jesus erected a miniature barbed-wire wall around Donald Trump's
star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - a reference to the presidential
hopeful's suggestion to build a wall between the US and Mexico.

The BFG illustrator Quentin
Blake created a new image of the Roald Dahl character this week. It was
in honour of an exhibition dedicated to the Big Friendly Giant at the
House of Illustration in London, as well as a series of free events at
St Pancras station to encourage children to get drawing.

Wax was applied to Rodin's
famous sculpture Le Penseur - better known as The Thinker - to protect
it from weather damage and pollution at the Rodin museum in Paris.

Michael J Fox surprised
Coldplay fans by joining Chris Martin on stage in New Jersey as part of
the band's current tour. Fox played the guitar on the songs Earth Angel
and Johnny B Goode, as made famous in his film Back to the Future.
