Transports enter Aleppo to resume departure

Syrians are evacuated from a rebel-held area of Aleppo towards rebel-held territory in the west of Aleppo's province on December 16, 2016. Russia announced it was negotiating with the Syrian opposition and seeking a nationwide ceasefire, as the evacuation of civilians and fighters from the last rebel-held parts of Aleppo entered a second day. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based monitor of the war, estimated some 8,500 people had left so far, including around 3,000 rebel fighters. Syrian state media reported a figure of around 8,000.

Transports started entering the last revolt held parts of Aleppo on Sunday to continue the departure of Syrian regular people and revolts, official media reported. 

The operation had been suspended on Friday, a day after a great many individuals had started leaving the revolt enclave under an arrangement permitting the administration to take full control of the city. 

Transports began entering a few neighborhoods on Sunday under the supervision of the Red Crescent and the International Committee of the Red Cross "to bring the rest of the psychological oppressors and their families out," state news organization SANA said, alluding to the agitators. 

The primary snag to the resumption of the operation had been a difference over the quantity of individuals to be emptied in parallel from two Shiite towns, Fuaa and Kafraya, under revolt attack in northwestern Syria. 

A revolt agent told AFP on Sunday that another assention had been come to under which the clearings would occur in two stages. 

"In an initial step, half of the general population blockaded in Aleppo will leave, in parallel with the clearing of 1,250 individuals from Fuaa," delegate said on state of secrecy. 

As per the United Nations, around 40,000 regular citizens and dissidents are caught in the resistance held area of Aleppo. 

"In a moment step, 1,250 individuals from Kafraya will leave in parallel with the departure of the rest of the general population in Aleppo," the revolt delegate said. 

Another 1,500 individuals will later leave Fuaa and Kafraya alongside a similar number from Zabadani and Madaya, two revolt towns assaulted by the administration in Damascus region.
