Performing the ceremony, the Acting Governor Benson Abounu explained that the Governor Ortom administration was committed to ensure rapid development the previous administration had paid lips service to the state’s developmental plan.
According to Abounu, ‘’the immediate past administration in the state for reasons best known to it let go donor agencies that were in the state but immediately this administration came into office we invited them and discussed ways of partnering together so as to move the state forward because Benue is in dare need of development”.
The Acting Governor however, regretted that the state was yet to achieve its desired growth due to the ineptitude for the implementation of policies and programmes that could have helped the state to grow.
