Celebrities Give Their Verdicts On EU Vote

Lindsay Lohan is one of a number of celebrities who took to Twitter to give their reactions as the results were counted.

American actress Lindsay Lohan live-tweeted the EU referendum results as they happened - becoming an unlikely sideshow on a night of political drama.
She was one of a number of high-profile celebrities who used the social network to give their live reaction to the vote.
The Freaky Friday star repeatedly tweeted the Remain hashtag, along with facts about the EU, including: "Workplace fatalities in the UK have reduced by half since European safety directives were introduced in 1996."
Another simply said: "#Remain small shops should pay more attention"

But she became increasingly bewildered as the night went on, tweeting: "Sorry, but Kettering where are you?" as the Midlands town's results were returned.
Her intervention won her new fans on Twitter, with one writing: "If there's a silver lining tonight, it's probably the revelation that Lindsay Lohan is kinda smart."
Another said: "Multiple outlets reporting UK will leave the EU, despite a heroic last stand by Lindsay Lohan."

Meanwhile Harry Potter author JK Rowling tweeted simply: "Goodbye, UK. Scotland will seek independence now. Cameron's legacy will be breaking up two unions. Neither needed to happen."
Comedian Hugh Laurie joked: "Best of three?" after the result was announced, before taking an apparent jibe at those who voted for Brexit, saying: "The star-bellied Sneetches" - a reference to a Dr Seuss book.
Singer Lily Allen, who has been an active voice for Remain on social media, said she had been in tears since the result was announced in Swindon, which swung towards Leave.
She said: "I've been crying since Swindon, not even joking. Well millennials. We're really really f*****."
Cher tweeted that she was "Glued 2Brexit results with Frnds".
"'Leaves' Have Won.Frnds say Immigration played part in Vote. It’s Best Decision 4 All UK PPL."
YouTube star Tanya Burr simply tweeted a broken-hearted emoji with the hashtag #EUref to her 1.9 million followers.
Meanwhile TV presenter Angela Scanlon said: "Genuinely scared for the future."
