At least five people have been killed after a group of suicide bombers detonated their explosives in eastern Lebanon, according to reports.
The state-run National News Agency said another 15 people were injured in the blasts in the Christian village of Qaa, near the Syrian border.
Four suicide bombers were involved in the early morning attack, it reported.
The men passed through the village at around 4am, raising suspicion among local people, a witness said.
Civilian security guards, which patrol Qaa in units set up to protect against potential attacks by Muslim extremists from Syria, called out to the group.
After throwing a hand grenade, the men blew themselves up among civilians - who are thought to have come out into the streets because of the noise.
The target of the attack was not clear, although the blasts happened around 150 metres from a Lebanese customs border point.
The Al-Manar news agency, which is owned by the militant group Hezbollah, reported that six people were killed and said Islamic State had carried out the attack.
Hezbollah has been fighting in Syria alongside President Bashar Assad's forces in the Syrian civil war which has also increased sectarian tensions in Lebanon.
A large number of Syrian refugees are now living in Qaa after fleeing the war in Syria.
