Prosecutors
Unhappy With Six-Year Jail Term For Oscar Pistorius – South African
prosecutors have revealed their displeasure over a six-year jail
sentence handed to Oscar Pistorius.
The famed Paralympian was sentenced to five years in jail for culpable homicide in September 2014, but the charge was upgraded to murder by an appeal court in December, 2015.
Pistorius was sentenced to six years in jail for murder in June, but the prosecution have claimed the sentence is too lenient and are appealing for a lengthier prison term.
The prosecution team claimed the sentence was unjust, and could bring disrepute to the South African justice system.
